Financial Markets Analyst
Maarten Spek is a financial markets analyst for ICC. He has enjoyed ICC’s thorough in-house training programme geared to interpreting interest-rate and currency developments within the G10 economies from a practical perspective through fundamental and chart-technical analyses. He is co-author of ICC's weekly publications on G10 interest-rate and currency developments and assists in the general operation of the analyst department.

Maarten joined ICC after graduating from Erasmus University in Rotterdam with a first in international economics.

Andy Langenkamp

Andy Langenkamp

Political Analyst
Andy's work at ICC entails monitoring international political developments that could affect interest and currency rates. His findings are used internally in support of ICC's outlook on relevant events and are expressed externally in our Global Political Analysis service.

Andy gained experience as a writer in the international editorial department of the daily newspaper Trouw and has a degree in international organisations and international relations from the University of Groningen.

Jurgen Doldersum

Analyst Financial Markets
From 2009 Jurgen Doldersum is training as a consultant for interest and currency risks at ICC. In this context he is active as an analyst for financial markets, which enables him to form an independent outlook on interest and currency developments from a chart-technical as well as a fundamental-economic angle.

Jurgen successfully completed a BA and MA degree in General Economics at the University of Groningen before studying at Harvard University over a number of months. After finishing his studies he started working for ICC.

Edin Mujagic

Edin Mujagic

Monetary Economist
Edin Mujagic graduated at the Faculty of Economics at Tilburg University (1998 - 2002), specializing in monetary and macroeconomics. He founded website-based service ecbwatch.com where he analyzed policy actions of the European Central Bank. In 2009 his book 'Ten years of the euro: a biography of a young world currency' was published in the Netherlands. Starting in 2010, Edin is within ECR Research responsible for analyses in the field of monetary economy.

After graduation from Tilburg University, Edin started as financial market analyst at ECR Research. At the end of 2004 he moved to the Dutch business and economic weekly magazine FEM Business, where he became macroeconomic editor. He stayed in that position until the end of 2009.
Edin has published various articles on monetary policy, central banks and the European Monetary Union in, among others, Financial Times, the Gulf Times, India Times, Korea Herald and many other international and Dutch media. He is the media contact person at ECR Research.

Eddy Markus

After obtaining a degree in economics from VU University Amsterdam, Edward Markus immediately became involved in managing a sizeable family fortune. After a number of years of extensive training in currencies and interest rates he assumed full responsibility for all (medium-term) interest and currency positions relating to these assets. In the early 1980s he switched from asset management to consultancy. He initially established Interest & Currency Consultants (ICC) as a consultancy agency for the business sector. Under his management it has grown into a successful consultancy agency specialised in virtually all facets of treasury management, corporate & structured finance, and market outlook. As an analyst he has closely followed the financial markets for over 25 years. His carefully formulated opinions are the mainstay of numerous publications on this subject.
