After obtaining a degree in economics from VU University Amsterdam, Edward Markus immediately became involved in managing a sizeable family fortune. After a number of years of extensive training in currencies and interest rates he assumed full responsibility for all (medium-term) interest and currency positions relating to these assets. In the early 1980s he switched from asset management to consultancy. He initially established Interest & Currency Consultants (ICC) as a consultancy agency for the business sector. Under his management it has grown into a successful consultancy agency specialised in virtually all facets of treasury management, corporate & structured finance, and market outlook. As an analyst he has closely followed the financial markets for over 25 years. His carefully formulated opinions are the mainstay of numerous publications on this subject.

Since graduating in economic, public and company law from the University of Utrecht Arian has worked in international sales and marketing. After spending two years at the head of direct sales programmes in the European hotel industry he joined ICC at the end of 1995 to set up a successful international sales department specifically geared to ICC's market outlook activities.

Over the past few years he has managed ICC’s steady growth and since January 2002 he has been responsible for all operational affairs and commercial activities in the Netherlands as well as internationally. He is also the main person to contact for professionals interested in pursuing a career at ICC.

Michèl van Dusschoten

With a degree in business economics, specialising in banking and insurance, and a post-graduate course in business management under his belt, Michèl attended the in-house ABN AMRO Bank executive course as well as numerous (specialist) internal and external courses (including NIBE, NIMA, and SVV). Having trained as an account manager for the Business Credit Extension department, he gained many years of all-round experience at ABN AMRO Treasury Sales as Senior Advisor for Treasury Products. In this position he advised top big business relations and Globals & Institutionals while acting as first point of contact for Interest Rate Risk Management Consultancy. He was also in charge of one of three Treasury Portfolios.

As ICC’s Consultancy Director Michèl has final responsibility for Cash & Treasury Management and Corporate Finance services.
